Write for the Halibut

How would you like to contribute to a blog while leaving all that publishing and editing nonsense to the schmuck who owns it?

Well, here’s your chance!

This is your open invitation to write about your favourite books, films, TV shows  and comics without the hassle of running a blog. Whether it’s a simple review, a Top 10 list, or a fun trivia article, it’s always great to add new perspectives to any type of fandom and it’s followers.

Guest Contributors: Already have a blog of your own and wish to promote your work to a fresh audience? Feel free to submit new or past articles from your own site, along with the appropriate links and I’ll be more than happy to provide some free advertising.

There are also a few article series you can contribute to:

Waving Off Nostalgia: In this series, the writer looks back on a book or film and compares their thoughts about it as an adult compared to when they were a child.

Super Quick Movie Reviews: Says it all in the title..

Strange Encounters: The writer takes the readers through something odd they have read or watched, and try to persuade the readers to read/watch it themselves.

There are just a few simple guidelines to follow before you submit:

  1. Proper grammar, comprehension and spelling must be used. I will send back any article that doesn’t comply and request further editing.
  2. There’s a minimum of 250 and a maximum of 3000 words per article.
  3. While I’ll won’t be a prude about language, I ask that you be tasteful in your wording.
  4. You must provide your own images for the article, but I reserve the right to change or add my own as I see fit.

You can submit all articles to justforthehalibut@yahoo.com. Please send the email with the title of your article where it says ‘Subject’.

I can’t wait to see what you have to offer!
